On two occasions I have used
Paratour and Elisabeth’s services.
The first was to replace a line that the sheathing
had torn on and the other to fix a tear that
happened in transport.
Elisabeth emailed me a diagram to identify the line
and had it to me in a few days. Turnaround
time on the repair was less than 10 days with
excellent communication and quality of work.
You couldn’t even tell that there was ever a foot
long tear after I received the wing back, totally
invisible.

"I have had a few
mishaps in the past,
mostly due to snagging
roots and such and
getting small tears.

these quickly and to perfection.
Then one day it happened. I
executed a beautiful turnaround
on my reverse launch starting
running, got the motor up to

needless to say

switch it was a little too late. I
examined my paraglider and there
were two huge holes in the
middle.

"After a month of ground
handling and bad weather
I completed m lessons.
My first attempt at
flight was not looking
good and was aborted. I
managed to bring my
brand new ParaToys 28
down into my still
spinning prop."
A few
near-by seasoned pilots
commented I would be
purchasing a new wing do
to my mishap. All this
happened at the Salton
Sea fly-in and I was lucky enough to
turn my recently devoured wing over
to them.
They said they would in fact be
able to repair it and at
huge savings over
purchasing a new wing. A
very short while later I
had the wing back with a
new panel that is
virtually unnoticeable.
I have since taken my
first flight and it flew
straight and true as I
would imagine it would
have before I pulverized
it.
I trust and highly
recommend them
for any wing repairs. I
hope I don't ever have
to repair another wing,
but if I do, I know I
will be in good hands!

wings during those years.

"I had the prop clip the front of my
wing on an aborted take-off and tear
into a cell.
I sent my
paraglider to Para-Motor City for
repair based upon the reputation of
Paratour in the PPG community and
hearing about their new repair shop.
They worked quickly and turned my
glider around in 2 days. I was
back flying in no time (and I hate
being grounded!). You could not even
tell the wing was repaired.

fly EVERY chance I get and often
from less than hospitable sites.
Consequently my Sting is not
the crispy, spotless beauty it once
was. The knowledge that it is
getting up in hours left me
with a growing feeling of
unease which had begun to detract
from my airtime.
So
I shipped my wing off to the good
folks at Para-Motor City for
service. When I got it back,
if found a ziplock bag full of lines
that had needed replacing, and my
wing had several repairs to spots
that I did not even notice before.
I was obvious that a thorough
inspection had been performed and
the necessary repairs done expertly.
I also found the results of the
porosity test which confirmed that
my wing still had some life left in
it.
I am now back to flying with
complete confidence and loving it!

couple months ago I was getting
ready to do a reverse and my
line got tangled in a weed.
Michelle was kind enough to get
me unstuck when she noticed a
tear between cells on the
trailing edge of my wing.
We decided it wasn't a flyable
situation so off I went to the
wing repair building. They said no problem
and I could have it back by next
week for the next weekend of
flying.
I went to pick it up about a
week later and they told me they
had done the repair and also
checked it all over, checked the
line length and repacked it in
my bag ready to go out the
door. I thought I had the wrong
bill because it was for only 1
hour and seemed incredibly
reasonable. They assured
me it was correct and gave me
Bon Voyage.
I set up to fly and looked and
looked and looked for the
repair. I couldn't find it!
Finally when I landed they came
over and asked how I liked the
repair. "Great, except I can't
see it". It took her a minute
but they pointed out where it
was. Amazing. 1st class. What
can I say, it looked like the
original."
