EVEN MORE FUN TO FLY
AND WITH THE SAME GOOD STABILITY

A glider for both beginner and intermediate recreational pilots

High stability, great performance, easy take-off, easy handling, high quality and...
so much fun to fly !

The Power Pluto II
is based on the popular Power Pluto, but it has been improved in all its characteristics:

The handling is still easy and more precise, whilst security has been proven by the EN-B test results.

The glider has an innate 'self-centring' tendency in thermals, along with a greater top speed and
improved glide ratio.

These qualities make the Power Pluto II appealing to a wide range of pilots from complete beginners to sporty and also cross country pilots.

The Power Pluto II is for foot launch and trike pilots  who want stability, but with more performance and fun handling.

This wing has good passive safety and excellent performance with the easy and precise handling that is a feature of all the Axis gliders.

Its special profile minimises the pendulum effect in flight and increases canopy stability in turbulent conditions.

It is easy to inflate, easy to handle on the ground and in the air which makes take-off’s easy, as the Power Pluto II has no tendency to over-fly the pilot.

It
has a relatively high-curve profile for a glider in its class that provides for great performance, quick turning ability and a high degree of safety.

This Axis differential speed-system (DSS) enables the pilot to achieve a higher top speed without the risk of collapse.

Split A-risers allow for easier identification of lines for big ears.

Diagonal reinforcement is used between the ribs, allowing fewer attachment points, fewer lines and less drag.

This proven method of diagonal reinforcement at the attachment points of A, B and C lines allows a reduction in lines without affecting canopy rigidity.  This is further enhanced by the use of  new quality materials.

Optimizing the amount of lines and using different diameters significantly reduces frontal resistance, subsequently increasing the wing's performance with no effect on the safety.

Material

The canopy is manufactured from a combination of Skytex S9017 with "water repellent" coating which provides optimum UV resistance and S9092 for improved durability.

Reinforcement is Porcher Marine Scrimm W240 which maintains the configuration and flight characteristics.

Lines are Liros Dyneema PPSL, characterised by minimal stretching and long durability.

The tandem Power Pluto II aimed for professional pilots.

High passive safety, easy to launch and outstanding performance are the main characteristics for this glider.

The profile of this glider was specially designed to minimize all pitching and rolling of a glider in flight, increasing stability of the canopy in turbulent air.

Well-established construction of diagonal reinforcement in A,B,C rows helped reduce
the number of lines without any effect on the glider´s strength.

Optimizing the amount of lines and using different diameters reduces drag and such increases glider´s performance without any effect on
the glider.

Axis achieved these excellent characteristics by using high quality materials (Porcher Marine Scrim W420) on the leading edge and new materials which have reduced the weight of the canopy, also increasing its safety.  The newly designed differential speed-system increases speed, whilst reducing the chances of collapses on maximum speed.
