FUN
FUN FUN !
FUN TO FLY !
High stability, great performance, easy
take-off, easy handling, high quality
and... so much fun to fly !
The Pluto is for experienced
pilots
(foot launch and trike) who want to
be safe in the air and it is also ideal
for pilots moving
up from a beginner wing who still
crave security, but with more performance.
Its special profile minimizes oscillations during the flight and provides high stability in
turbulence.
It is easy to inflate, easy to handle on the ground and in the air
which makes
take-off’s easy, as the Pluto has no tendency to over-fly the
pilot.
With the easy and precise handling features of all the
Axis gliders, this wing provides good passive safety and excellent performance.

It
has a relatively high-curve profile
for a glider in its
class that provides for great performance, quick turning ability
and a high degree of safety.
Diagonal reinforcement is used between the ribs, allowing fewer attachment
points, fewer lines and less drag.
The proven
'classical' construction with diagonal
reinforcements at the attachment points
of the A, B and C lines allows for a
reduction in the number of lines without
affecting its rigidity.
Optimizing the
amount of lines and using different
diameters significantly reduces frontal
resistance, subsequently increasing
the wing's performance with no effect on
the safety. |
|
 |
A specially constructed Differential
Speed System (DDS) helps to use speed effectively.
This newly designed differential speed-system increases speed
while reducing the chances of collapses
during maximum speed.
Split A-risers
allow for easier identification of
lines for big ears.

All Axis gliders are AFNOR certified |
 |
|
|
 |
|
Axis has achieved these excellent
characteristics by using high quality
materials (Porcher Marine Scrim W420) on
the leading edge of the glider and new
materials which have reduced the weight
of the canopy, also increasing its
safety.
The canopy is manufactured from 'water
repellent' Skytex S 9017, which has a
high UV reflectivity and excellent
resistance to abrasion.
Material
Upper and lower surface:
- Color fabric: Skytex New 9017
40g/m2 with E77A "water
repellent" finish
- White fabric: Skytex New 9017 40g/m2
with E38A "medium" finish
Profile - Ribs (white):
- Skytex New 9017 40 g/m2 with
E29A "hard finish"
- Skytex New 9017 40 g/m2 with
E38A "medium" finish
Lines:
The lines are a very new material Liros PPSL, with a
dyneema core which offers minimal stretching and much higher durability. |
