The Prisma glider 

Manufactured by Apco and exclusively made for Paratour, this PPG glider is designed for beginner foot launch pilots, as well as for easy and fun trike flying. 

 To ensure a long lasting life for the Prisma, it is made from Gelvenor, a very resistant fabric (which exceeds most paraglider fabrics in strength), as well as heavy duty lines.

CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS

This glider is made from an excellent tear resistant Ripstop Nylon fabric, which is P.U. coated to zero porosity and then siliconized to give a high resistance to the elements.


Different fabrics are used for the top, bottom and ribs, due to their different functions.
 


 

 
 
The lines are made of Superaramid covered with a polyester sheath for protection against UV, wear and abrasion.

 
The bottom section of the brake lines is made of polyester because of its better mechanical properties.
 

The D shackels that attach the lines to the risers are made of stainless steel.
