Rod Thernovsky, Leslie's boyfriend, at the shop with Eric

January 1st was filled with nice company, flights and some mechanical maintenance.
We nicely ended it up with a good dinner at the Japanese restaurant Kobe
to celebrate Leslie Britt's 28th birthday.

Todd Adams came with his new trailer to start the year with us.

Steve Heller, from Florida, is also very happy
with his light and powerful Titanium Ultra 130 paramotor.

And he likes so much his Power Pluto wing,
that he recently bought another one:  A Power Pluto II.

Jumping from an XCitor:

Gilles Roger from France, took his paramotor training from Eric Dufour 11 years ago.

Not only does he still enjoys flying, but he makesa living out of it.

You ca visit his Website at http://www.aero-g.com

Here is a video where we can see aerial pictures of the area where he lives:

Kirk & Sue Mozer, both Green Eagle pilots, enjoyed some
nice January
flights in Salton Sea, California.

To make a long story short:  Kirk came to Florida to train with Eric Dufour on a Green Eagle.  Once back home in Albuquerque (New Mexico), he went flying with the local group of paramotor pilots; met Sue and got married PPG style.
They spend al lot of time in the air together, each on their own Green Eagle

Catherine Dylon, from Colorado, who recently took her training with Eric
on her Kangook trike and Power Pluto II wing, enjoyed her sunset flight
while visiting Paramotor City in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Michel Proulx who learned to fly with Eric 2 years ago,
came from Montreal to spend another week of flying with us.

Michel enjoyed flying all week
with the Power Pluto II and Titanium Ultra Moster paramotor

Following Bertrand Maddalena's suggestion (summity in glider inspections and repair and founder of RipAir, the biggest paraglider shop worldwide), we acquired the Woerner lines measurement system (made in Germany) to get a more precise measurement of the lines during paraglider inspections.

As this system is more expensive than others, most Woerner Systems are used by paraglider manufacturers.  Paratour was the lucky#100 worldwide to buy this very precise system and our closest neighbor who bought it is the paraglider manufacturer Sol, in Brazil.

It just so happened that Peter Werner visited a friend who lives just a few minutes away from our place, so we had the chance to meet him and his nice girlfriend Patricia.

Peter is an engineer, a plane, paraglider and paramotor pilot.  In addition to German, he fluently speaks  English, French and Italian.  He is fun to be with and his girlfriend adorable.

Steve Coffey (left), knowledgeable in hard drive,
Eric Dufour, knowing what measuring lines is all about,
and Glen Boyd (right) who is very knowledgeable in Excel program,
joined forces to install the Woerner Lines Measuring System at our glider shop.
To date, we are the only ones to use this system in North America.

Max Bochenko on Take-off, always assisted on radio by Eric Dufour

Max did many touch & goes

Good friends Max Bochenko and Ben Kovalenko started their training together with Eric.

As they share the same equipment, they chose an Ultra Moster paramotor, which is light enough for Max and powerful enough for Ben.

Max on landing

Max Bochenko did a record at our school:
15 flights on the same day he soloed.

Eric radio guiding Ben during his solo flight.

Eric always have his students use custom made
helmets allowing the use of 2 different radios for a safety back up.

He also has 2 radios on him.

Communication is paramount in paramotor training.

Ben
Kovalenko congratulated by Eric after his first solo flight.

David Bradley from New Brunswick paid us nice visits
during the week he came near by for golfing.
David is a paramotor, plane pilot, and a skydiver.

Glen and David used to fly and skydive together in New Brunswick
They were happy to see each other again and had a long chat on the field.

Eric, who played golf many years ago,
hit the golf course with David while he was here.

We also had another visit from Jeff Goin and Tim Kaiser from Illinois.

Jeff Goin & Tim Kaiser.
Jeff is currently working on Master PPG3, the next DVD of
his popular serie of Master PPG videos.

Tim Kaiser is involved in the USPPA,
the American paramotorists association
