Balloon Fiesta Fly-in

Pilots from across the US, Canada, and Mexico
enjoyed four crisp autumn days launching
their powered paragliders into the glorious
skies above the New Mexico dessert.
The emphasis is on
flying and fun, New Mexican style! Make it a
family vacation and enjoy the scenic views from
above while they enjoy trips to Native American
sites, bonfires, hot air balloons, Mexican
Mariachis, and of course the nearly 1000 hot air
balloons at the Albuquerque International
Balloon Fiesta. At night celebratewith great
food, live bands, and fireworks.

Report on the
Ocotillo Wells fly-in 2002
Place : Ocotillo Wells, California, USA
Dates : February
1st to 3rd 2002
| Over 90 paramotor pilots from all over United States
and also from Canada, England and Scotland registered to this
fly-in, which is at the moment, the biggest paramotor event in
the west side of the country.

About 20 paramotor pilots
attended this friendly fly-in, during the Wings and Strings
event at Fantasy of
Flight, in Florida. It included a Bluegrass music
festival (5 stages, over 100 shows), lots of family
entertainment, good food and festive atmosphere.

Some time ago, Don Shaw decided to
build a new type of portable "Ultralight vehicle"
that would have a double propulsion system : One for
ground traveling and another one for flying: The
"Para Scooter", that Eric Dufour flew in February
2002.
