To be eligible for the Ultralight -
paramotor private pilot exam, you must have your student pilot
permit and a minimum of 5 hours accumulated flying time, including
30 take-offs and landings, signed off by an instructor.
This written exam is based on the "Study
and Reference Guide". You can find the answers in the AIP
and CARs. It is usually conducted in Transport Canada offices.
To obtain your student pilot permit,
you can contact Christiane Moisan,
paramotor instructor and authorized agent for Transport Canada.
When receiving your student
pilot permit, Christiane
Moisan will also give you the reference guide to study
for your pilot permit.
When you pass your pilot exam
with Transport Canada, she will give you your temporary pilot
permit (duration of 90 days); this gives Transport Canada
adequate time to issue the real permit.
Christiane
Moisan (ccparamoteur@yahoo.com)
will do all transactions with Transport Canada for you, will
follow-up and be available for any pertinent questions you may
have concerning permits, licensing of equipment and insurance. Cost: $35.00$
